Gabrielle Smith

Gabrielle is my older sister by two years. I always wanted to hang out with her and her friends, borrow her clothes, and follow in her footsteps. After years of arguing, I was so happy to have a best friend down the hall at home.

Julia Fornetti

When Juge and I are together, the party starts. I couldn't have made it through high school without her - playing tennis, jamming to AC, and sitting in her basement. Now, I can still talk to her about everything and nothing at all.

Sasha McLaughlin

Sasha and I became friends through the Maize Rage. Whenever I need to talk, she'll pick up the phone and her door is always open. Before Alex, we would be at all the Michigan sporting events together.

Kelly Allen

Kelly and I have been BFFs since 8th grade. She took over as my sister once Gab left for college, coming over for family dinners, cruising the strip, or playing tennis with me until dark.

Standing for the Groom

Josh Kruger

Josh has been my best friend since grade school. He's been the brother I never had, and is a big part of why I was able to meet Maegan (he convinced me to apply to Michigan). We've always been able to talk about anything.

Jon Wagenknecht

I met Jon freshman year of college. He almost transferred to MSU, but luckily he stayed. We bonded over Michigan basketball, and he's a big reason why I joined the Maize Rage and was able to meet Maegan.

Matt Ryan

Matt was in my hall freshman year, and we lived together all 4 years at Michigan. Even though we differ on many sports teams, the back and forth about sports is always friendly banter, and we both love the Wolverines.

Elizabeth Liggett

Lizzie is my older sister and for many years she was bigger than me (and she let me know it). Once I finally grew and passed her up we became friends and would do silly things together especially on family vacations.

the Stories

HOW WE MET

We met through a student organization, the Maize Rage. We went to all the same Michigan basketball games and attended all the same meetings for two years, but never actually met. Finally, one fine evening, we got talking and I asked for Alex's phone number. The rest was history! ♥M

OUR ENGAGEMENT

Naturally, we got engaged in a way that was true to how we met. Before our last home basketball game while we were both students, I proposed to Maegan in the Crisler Center. Our student section tenure ended with a thrilling victory over Rutgers, but our engagement had just begun! ♥A

As our wedding day draws near,
